Abacus Technology is seeking a Scheduler to support project tracking and management for Marshall Space Flight Center. This is a full-time position.
Provide expertise to distribute, manage, and coordinate technical schedules for large scale and medium scale programs to include IMPs and IMSs. Work as a mentor within a team (e.g lower level schedulers and others from the project office, engineering, etc.) environment to analyze budget and resource requirements for programs/projects in order to assure cost and schedule compatibility, and to manage impacts resulting from changes to project scope and resource requirements. Collaborate with NASA Centers, other Government agencies, industry, and academia in matters concerning program/project scheduling, EVM, and other related project control activities.
15+ years experience supporting projects through scheduling and coordination. Master's degree in a related field. Experience with the implementation and management of integrated scheduling tools to provide expert guidance and implementation support to project control personnel in the integration of schedule and resource data through resource loaded schedules within an automated schedule management tool. Must have a background in supporting technical tasks and project management functions according to the complete project life cycle. Must be able to work closely with technical teams and government program managers with equal efficiency. Thorough understanding of EIA-748 standard EVM principles as they relate to schedule and technical performance measures. Experience in a supervisory or management role a plus. Extensive experience in the use of various commercial schedule management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project and Primavera). Extensive experience with the implementation of probabilistic schedule risk assessment and schedule health processes and techniques. Extensive experience with MS Project or similar tool. Must be highly motivated, assertive, and possess excellent communication skills. Must be a US citizen.
