Job Description

Starting pay is $17.28 top out to $17.92 in 90 days and potential for advancement.

Positions are for 2nd or 3rd shift. $0.45 Shift Premium will be paid in addition to base pay.

Essential Functions and Job Duties:

1. Performs various assembly operations.

2. Operates various types of machines/presses to produce a high-volume quality part.

3. Inspects quality of parts to verify conformance to specifications and ensure quality standards are met.

4. Reviews set-up cards to ensure that the part number matches set up card.

5. Maintains raw material supplies.

6. Moves units to and from work stations.

7. Completes production boards when applicable for machine/process.

8. Records production and scrap numbers.

9. Maintains accurate counts and produces at required production rate.

10. Makes minor adjustments to machines to ensure proper machine/press operation and the production of a quality product.

11. Reports needed maintenance of machinery.

12. Escalates downtime or scrap issues to Team Leader.

13. Performs safety checks on machines.

14. Maintains a clean work environment according to 5S standards.

15. Adheres to safe work practices and completes gorilla cards when an unsafe condition is identified.

16. Provides support as requested by supervisor.

17. Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift (2:55pm - 11pm) or 3rd shift (10:55pm - 7am)

Education: A high school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) preferred, but not required. Must be able to pass a basic reading comprehension and math test.

Language Skills: Able to read, write, and communicate in English. Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions.

Math/Mechanical Reasoning Skills: Possess basic math skills to include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Safety: Adherence to health and safety procedures is required. Must wear personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to, steel toed shoes, protective eyewear, and ear protection.

Preferred Requirements:

One (1) year of manufacturing experience.

Physical Requirements:

Normal dexterity isrequired.

Must be able to bend and stoop.

Must be able to lift 35 lbs on a regular basis.

Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of up to 8 to 12 hours.
