Job Summary
The College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment is currently seeking an experienced individual to assist with events at The Crooked Oaks facility.

Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions
  • The event helper will work directly with the Operations Coordinator and Crooked Oaks Manager in planning and executing each event, grounds maintenance, lodging and the hospitality spectrum of Crooked Oaks. The candidates may be asked to help assist with managerial duties, as well as grounds maintenance as needed.
  • Set up/ break down for events
  • Interact in a professional manner with vendors and guests
  • Parking
  • Trash duty
  • Help set up/take down tables and chairs for events.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Applicants must be available to work weekdays and weekends, including mornings and evenings
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment (25lbs or greater)
Desired Qualifications
Event set-up experience.
