Job Title: Welder

Job Summary: Utilize a universal welder to make cuts and welds on steel pipe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints and drawings
• Take measurements to plan layouts
• Set up welding machine according to specifications
• Weld components using semi-automatic welding equipment
• Keep equipment well maintained in order to promote safety
• Test all machine welds to ensure quality
• Weld, by hand, any leaks found during quality penetration die test
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Candidates with pipe welding or other welding certifications preferred

Must have:

• At least four years of welding experience

Must be:

• 18 years or older
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Able to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8- to 12-hour shifts
• Available to work Saturdays (will count against attendance record if missed)
• Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form
