Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is growing in The Rocket City, Huntsville, AL! We've begun hiring for our third facility in the Huntsville area, a 379,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility near the Huntsville airport that will specialize in the production and assembly of inert solid rocket motor components. We are also continuing to grow at our Huntsville center of excellence for Missile Solutions Program Management and Engineering, as well as our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in north Huntsville, where we produce advanced propulsion products.

Under close direct supervision, the Engineer will assist with Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics analyses of solid rocket propulsion systems and related components.
60% - Assist with performing thermal and fluid dynamics analysis of solid rocket propulsion systems and components under supervision of senior engineering staff. Emphasis will be on analysis requiring knowledge of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Computational Fluid Dynamics. Prepare analysis models, conduct analysis, and review analysis results with the senior analysts. Assist in reducing engine test data to validate results of analysis models.
20% - Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews.
20% - Assist in preparing technical reports documenting all analysis activities.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Master's degree is strongly preferred. Coursework in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Dynamics is required. Strong academic track record of success. Knowledge and experience with aerospace product development efforts a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is expected.
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
