Job Description

Production Assistants are primarily responsible for ensuring product integrity, traceability and proper labeling through the accurate documentation of each aspect of their job function. Their activities directly influence inventory control and customer care levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transferring, bagging and labeling of product from post-inspection to its respective destination
  • Using the Manufacturing Order (MO) picklist, pull the components required to assemble the product listed on the MO
  • Identify and print correct label. Assemble the product according to the appropriate work Instruction. Document the lots numbers on the picklist and in the Dynamics system to maintain

product identification and traceability.

  • Log into and out of various MO's to track labor
  • Pull, count/weigh and label parts to be sent to various suppliers for outside processing
  • The ability to operate and understand certain pieces of equipment, i.e., counting scale, aqueous
  • cleaner, heat sealer, tray sealer, scanners, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory integrity by the careful handling of the component parts
  • Perform daily cleaning maintenance operations as dictated by respective procedures

Qualifications:

  • Two year general employment experience required
  • Must be able to speak and read fluent English
  • General computer literacy required including basic Word. Excel is a plus
  • Must be very detail oriented, able to adhere to procedures, follow directions and work within a structured team environment

Physical Demands:

  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift 25 lb packages

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or certificate required; Associate (2 year) college degree preferred
