Georgia-Pacific LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Equipment Inspection Leader to enhance the maintenance and operations at our Brewton, Alabama facility. The candidate will be responsible for executing the Fixed Equipment (Mechanical Integrity) program to ensure that the facility complies with all company requirements and recommendations; regulatory requirements; and relevant codes, standards, guidelines and Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) from industrial and professional organizations.

What You Will Do

Lead the site's execution of the Fixed Equipment Inspection and Non - Destructive Testing Program.Perform Visual Inspections of Storage Tanks, Unfired Pressure Vessels, and Piping per applicable API Inspection CodesCoordinate Contracted Inspections and NDT as well as developing detailed NDT scopes and oversight of NDT data collection. This includes ensuring that personnel assigned to inspect, test, and maintain fixed equipment are appropriately qualified and have access to appropriate procedures for these activities.Manage and prioritize site's fixed equipment efforts based on risk, value, compliance, and business needs.Develop and implement inspection plans, maintenance strategies, and repair procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of fixed equipment. This includes development of work packages of fixed equipment for preturnaround and turnaround events.Manage Inspection NDT work orders in CMMS system.Manage the Mill's IDMS (Inspection Data Management System) to input current inspection data, deficiencies, and update Inspection Plans.Develop Repair Recommendations from inspection results and work with Maintenance and Engineering Teams to develop detailed Repair and QA/QC plans.Utilize best practices and standards that needs to be implemented to standardize the site's processes and execution of fixed equipment program.Collaborate/partner and work with other site capabilities groups aligning with safety, environmental, and business vision.Provide technical expertise and support to operations, maintenance and capital project teams in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and equipment optimization.Participate in the design and construction of new fixed equipment to ensure maintainability, reliability, and safe operation.Assist in recognizing and communicating when equipment deficiencies occur, including controls to help ensure that equipment deficiencies do not lead to loss of Primary Containment.Provide engineering support to Maintenance and Operations (troubleshooting, problem solving, cost estimating and implementation of mechanical design solutions)Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) efforts to identify root causes of mechanical integrity problems.Active participation in design and implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies for systems to improve production and uptime.



Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

High School Education in combination with 10 years of Inspection and NDT testing Experience.API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspection CertificationAPI 653 Storage Tank Inspection CertificationAPI 570 Piping Inspection CertificationAPI 571 Damage Mechanism CertificationAPI 580 Risk Based Inspection CertificationAWS Certified Welding Inspector3 years of experience working in a supervisory role to execute fixed equipment or mechanical integrity programs.Working knowledge of in-service inspection/repair codes and standards American Petroleum Institute (API) (API 510, API 570, API 653, NBIC NB23)Working knowledge of original codes of construction (ASME B31 Piping, ASME BPVC)


What Will Put You Ahead

A Technical Degree would be beneficial.Project Management Responsibilities for large Turnarounds and OutagesExperience with Assetsuite CMMS systems.Experience with VisualAIM IDMS system (or Equivalent IDMS Software Tool).Proficiency in Microsoft Office software as well as CAD drawing software.NDT certifications including UTT, PT, MT.Experience in the operation of robotic tank crawlers to perform UTT inspections for Tanks and / or Boilers.
