What You'll Do:

We are hiring a Director, National Accounts - Product Innovation! This position will lead the pursuit of alternative uses for aggregate products such as beach sand renourishment, glass production, landscape materials, golf course sand, etc.). This includes is responsible for the overall functioning of the sales, marketing and operations efforts of specialty products throughout the Division. This includes direct selling, exploring and developing new business opportunities, assisting customers through technical advice, developing marketing strategies to maximize profitability, reviewing sales forecasts and preparing budgets that accurately project sales.

Responsible for developing operations business strategies for affected markets, works with Area Managers to ensure maximum production and shipment of material at the lowest cost consistent with sound safety, health and environmental practices and standards of quality. Must be able to travel around 25%+.

Responsibilities Include:

Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to pursue alternative uses for aggregate products including beach sand renourishment, glass production, landscaping materials, golf course related products, etc. that aligns with the company's product innovation goals. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales approach.

Drive Value Proposition: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company's product innovation pipeline and translate technical features into compelling value propositions for our customers.

Customer Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key customers, understanding their business challenges and demonstrating how product innovations can address them. Deliver product demonstrations to showcase the unique selling points of innovative products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with technical services, operations and other teams to align efforts with the overall product innovation strategy. Provide insights from client interactions to inform product development.

Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities and markets for innovative products. Develop and implement plans to expand the company's footprint in existing markets and penetrate new ones.

Sales Leadership: Partner with divisional sales teams to foster a culture of innovation and customer-centricity.

Performance Analysis: Establish KPIs to measure and track the success of product innovation sales. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.

Customer Feedback: Establish channels to collect and analyze customer feedback on innovative products. Use customer insight to inform sales approaches and contribute to product enhancements.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience is required. An MBA is preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of sales and marketing, customer service, in the construction/mining industry with a proven track record, particularly in selling innovative products and solutions.

Exceptional Sales Acumen: Possess superior selling skills that exhibit a deep understanding of the sales process, coupled with effective communication, relationship-building and persuasion techniques.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with executives and hourly employees alike, and able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and executive presence.

Business Insight: Ability to apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals.

Collaboration: Ability to build strong organizational partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Strategic mindset: Sees ahead to future possibilities and translates them into breakthrough strategies.

Travel: Minimum 25% travel monthly
