ACARA Solutions and our large defense client have 5 REMOTE contract to hire positions available for both SW Engineering & Systems Engineering

Hourly rates starting at $88.00 and up DOE

All levels of experience 2-10 years with a BA and US Citizenship required.

• As a systems/software you'll be a cross-functional team member responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
• Minimum of 2 years experience as systems/software I&T engineer that includes experience in both front and back-end - AWS Kafka front end, and back-end with Python & Java

• Master's Degree
• DevSecOps experience with some of the following platforms/tools, such as
  • AWS
  • GitLab
  • Kubernetes
  • Docker
  • Jenkins
  • Ansible
  • Terraform
• Missile Warning/Missile Tracking system integration, test, operations experience
• Ground operations experience
• CI/CD pipeline development
• Satellite communications knowledge
• Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
• Ability to lead the software development process
• Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
• Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
• Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
• Test automation
• Familiar with Agile philosophies and processes
