Overview

LMI is seeking a Contracting System/Service Desk Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The candidate will support the Government Contracting Officer with activities related to contract and procurement systems. The systems supported include the Standard Procurement System/Procurement Desktop-Defense (SPS/PD2) software and Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS). The Contracting and Procurement System Administrator will serve as the Government's advisor and Subject Matter Expert for PD2 activities. Remote work authorized, but will require visits to the client site as needed in Hunstville, AL, potentially on short notice. Candidates must reside within a reasonable distance to Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities
    Provide on-site functional and technical support as a system administrator, for all of MDA's contracting directorates and program offices, communicating a variety of Government automated enterprise business systems to non-technical users. Provide ongoing support of MDA's business and technology environment by sustaining the Agency's efforts to increase efficiency and effectiveness of business and transactional operations, particularly through promoting and maintaining MDA guidelines effecting Government regulation/compliance and the security of data reporting/retention.
  • Provide daily System Administrator support, utilizing the latest deployed version, of Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2)/Standard Procurement System (SPS) security model tasks, vendor and organizational maintenance, running Interactive Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts, understanding of the Integrity Tool, Procurement Data Standard Validations and Federal Procurement Data System - Next Generation (FPDS-NG) Contract Action Report (CAR) creation and authentication processes.
  • Provide comprehensive daily CTO E-Business Service Desk Help support, by managing user accounts, functioning as a system administrator performing administration tasks, answering user questions, troubleshooting actions, resolving unexpected issues and responding to data calls, as directed, for various Department of Defense (DoD) E-Business automated business systems to include: PD2/SPS contract management support system, all Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) capabilities, and the General Services Administration (GSA) beta.SAM.gov Federal award system.
  • Perform functional and technical training to MDA's workforce on the PD2 system, as well as other agency-wide Government automated business systems and develop / provide updated standard operating procedures and desk guide documentation to all MDA users.
Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 7 years systems administration and customer service/help desk experience, includes creation and resolution of trouble tickets.
  • 3 years proficiency in SPS and WAWF/WAWF E-Business/PIEE.
  • MS Office knowledge and familiarity
  • Preferred (not mandatory) Certified Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation or
  • Preferred (not mandatory) Certified DAU SPS Authorized
  • Preferred (not mandatory) DAWIA Certification Level I or higher in Contracting or equivalent
  • Preferred (not mandatory) CompTIA Security +
  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
  • Values and provides excellent customer service
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.
