TSC's Innovation & Product Cell (IPC) is currently seeking an Electronic Parts, Material & Process Engineer to join our IPC team in Huntsville, AL This role supports TSC Huntsville's IPC development & production programs focused on radar systems, seekers, and electronic warfare systems. Responsibilities:

For this position we are looking for a flexible individual with experience in electronic components, standards and screening processes, enabling our design and production of new products in radar and seeker technologies. TSC's IPC team is chartered with developing new products by leveraging technology across TSC. This team is responsible for rapid development, demonstration, and initial product rollout. This position requires an individual familiar with product development and deployment in a system engineering-based lifecycle and configuration management workflow.

  • Maintain standard parts tool/database for recording, identifying and selection of qualified parts.
  • Define and revise component specifications and source control documents.
  • Interact with suppliers to ensure components are qualified for use on the contract and meet the requirements of applicable Parts, Materials and Processes (PM&P) plans.
  • Interact with design engineering, and manufacturing to assist in the selection, handling, processing and replacement of parts and materials.
  • Lead failure analysis and corrective action efforts as part of component failure and root cause investigations.
  • Monitor Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) alerts and provide obsolescence status to development programs, production programs and customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree from an accredited program, in Electronic Engineering, Physics or Chemistry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industry supporting concept and layout design phases with expertise in parts and materials.
  • Electronic component and materials management for military programs in the RF, Microwave, Digital and Analog design domains.
  • Strong knowledge of available electronic, and electro-mechanical components, materials, soldering and screening processes.
  • Working understanding of device physics and material properties used in electronic & RF systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Possess excellent organizational and communications skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD degree from an accredited program, in Electronic Engineering, Physics or Chemistry.
  • 10 years of related work experience.
  • Strong device physics/material science background enabling scientific method-based root cause failure investigations, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with electronic design & simulation tools such as Cadence & SPICE.
  • Excellent presentation and technical writing skills.
