Job Description

Summary/objective

Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi-Cola Bottler founded in Birmingham, AL, more than 100 years ago. The CME Tech Shop Support is a key member of the Corporate Marketing Equipment Team responsible for troubleshooting and performing repairs on all vending equipment.

Essential functions

* Required to troubleshoot and perform internal / external / cosmetic repairs, on all vending machines and visa coolers

* Required to test, vend, and operate all equipment to ensure it operates properly and passes all operational quality assurance standards.

* Required to visually inspect all equipment to ensure that it will pass all cosmetic quality assurance standards.

* Required to follow all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to the remanufacturing of equipment while working in a safe and productive professional manner.

* Required to use hand tools, OHM meter, saws and drills to repair assigned machine. Techs are responsible for all tools issued to them. Buffalo Rock will replace all worn out tools due to normal use.

* Required to utilize electronic tablet to record all aspects of the repair and reman process in our Maintenance Connection program.

* Productivity expectations will be set by the supervisor for the type of equipment and level of competency. Employees are expected to meet or exceed this productivity goal.

* Required to be cross trained when necessary to work where needed to meet the workload demands.

* Required to wash, sand, install decals and prep equipment for painting when the workload requires the help at management's discretion.

* Required to paint inside and outside of machine with appropriate paints.Must follow all painting SOPs guideline set forth by the company.

* Required to work overtime based on workload demands.

* Required to carry out other duties as assigned by management such as but not limited to; sweeping, mopping, banding equipment, emptying trash, recycling cardboard / metal, cleaning offices.

* Required to work outside of your immediate department when the workload requires it.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

* Must exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.

* Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method. Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online and/or facilitated training.

* Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damages, theft, or other liabilities.

* Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the safety of employee- partners, self, customers, Buffalo Rock property, and customer property.

Required education and experience

  • Education: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); Required
  • Experience: Previous mechanical experience; Preferred
  • Other Requirements: Must be able to read, write, perform basic mathematics and communicate clearly. Requires basic knowledge of equipment /tools needed to fulfill the needs of the essential tasks.
