Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Software Developer to support the SRD Sustainment Division. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• As a Software Developer for the ARISE Team working in the CSI/PQDR branch, you will be responsible for creating user-friendly, performant, web-based solutions to support the mission of the AvMC SRD Sustainment Division customer located at Redstone Arsenal.
• You will interface with both government and contractor customers across multiple branches of the division to analyze and translate their requirements into function design.
• With minimal guidance from leadership, you will oversee all phases of the application lifecycle for multiple applications. Must work well independently and as part of a small team

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full life-cycle development of object-oriented web-based software applications and relational databases.
• Proficiency in the C# and/or VB.NET programming languages.
• Proficiency in web development using ASP.NET.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (or above).
• Ability to interpret functional specifications as they relate to software.
• Ability to recommend software-related process improvements to management.
• Receive, apply, and test new software releases, software maintenance, and software patches using standard procedures.
• Ability to create and manage system documentation to include standard operating procedures, routine status reports, script development, and as-built documentation.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• .NET Framework 4.8 / .NET 6+.
• Experience with source control such as TFS or Git.
• Excellent software troubleshooting skills and experience are a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Detail-oriented to manage simultaneous projects at different stages of development.
• Multi-tier (n-tier) architecture such as 3-tier.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
