Job Description

Title: Human Resources & Labor Relations Manager
Location: McIntosh, AL - Mobile Area

Salary: $115,000 - $160,000 plus additional bonus
Schedule: 9/80 Schedule Available
Relocation: Available

Focus: As a member of the site leadership team, you will have responsibility for implementation of key human resources initiatives in support of site and corporate goals. You will lead a small team of HR professionals in all aspects of human resources including talent acquisition, talent development, employee relations and labor relations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with managers to fill openings and establish development plans for employees, with a focus on high potential employees
  • Assist in the articulation of the values and culture of the organization and propose HR management activities which support the organization's culture
  • Interact with managers and Union leadership to ensure compliance with the Labor Agreement
  • Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action and EEO
HR & Labor Relations Manager Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree* or higher. Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations, Business Management, Organizational Development or related discipline strongly preferred
  • 5+ years recent related human resources experience
  • Must have labor relations experience, including direct experience handling grievances and involvement in negotiations
  • Ability to offer subject matter expertise on HR compliance/employment law knowledge, succession planning, employee retention, leadership development, performance management, employee / labor relations
  • Must have prior leadership experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or chemical industry preferred
  • Minimal travel required
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and possess a valid US Driver's License
