About the role:

FIS is excited to welcome a talented Product Designer to join our new design-led, cross-functional team focused on evolving, improving, and implementing our brand-new design system, Unify. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a consistent user experience across the entire FIS ecosystem.

About the team:

The FIS Platform team's vision is to enable developers to access a full suite of financial capabilities and build their own applications through low and no-code experiences. We operate like an incubated startup within FIS, with the full support of the company and a mandate to create a world-class embedded finance platform. We have a fast-paced and fun group that believes strongly in putting the user first and setting a high bar for everything we ship.

What you'll do at FIS:

  • Play a key role in the foundational set-up and rollout of Unify.
  • Be a champion for Unify, partnering with your team to audit and prioritize design system work.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the FIS organization, fostering collaboration and clear communication.
  • Lead the charge on educating both the design team and wider business on design system improvements and ongoing work.
  • Contribute creatively to strategic design projects that cut across various areas of the business.
  • Work closely with engineers to help develop and build the design system.

About you:

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for visual craftsmanship such as composition, typography and layout
  • Figma master that's comfortable with technical aspects like HTML/CSS and advanced Figma features (Auto Layout, Variables, Components).
  • Boasts a portfolio showcasing design systems you've created or significantly contributed to.
  • A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and product strategy.
  • Has proven experience designing and launching products for both desktop and mobile environments.
  • Understands the importance of creating usable, accessible, and modular designs that can scale seamlessly.
  • Has experience collaborating effectively with engineers and other designers.
  • Is a clear and confident communicator who excels at bringing teams together and fostering clarity.
  • Feels comfortable providing constructive feedback to stakeholders.
  • Embraces ambiguity and enjoys building structure and process from the ground up.
  • Is an innovator who loves pushing boundaries and exploring new design possibilities.
  • Integrates experimentation and data analysis into your design decision-making process.
  • Ideally has 6+ years of product design experience with 1+ years specifically focused on design systems.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience partnering with developers on design system development.
  • A design/development hybrid background or experience building websites or apps.
  • A history of working on canvas-based interfaces or creative workflow tools.
  • A track record of creating and managing impactful design systems and processes.


FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $136,190.00 - $228,790.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
