Job Description
The Director of Talent Development is responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of team members, particularly front-line supervisors and emerging leaders.

The Director of Talent Development is responsible for driving training initiatives, arranging suitable training solutions for managers, and designing and implementing effective education methods.


Essential Functions:
* Leads the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet organizational development needs and program goals.
* Collaborates with senior leadership, mine management, and Director of Safety Awareness to understand and develop the organization's goals and strategy related to training and workplace preparedness for operational managers and supervisors.
* Identifies leadership gaps and develops strategies and processes to achieve measurable results for training and organizational development goals.
* Modifies training and development programs in coordination with changing workforce trends, emerging training methods, and dynamic operational objectives.
* Assists with the provision of expert facilitation and coaching to supervisors and managers regarding talent development methods and tools.
* Provides consultative services to operational business units regarding mentoring and leads short-term and long-term talent development programs.
* Prepares budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources.
* Exemplifies the desired culture, mission, vision, and values of the organization.
* Performs Other duties as required

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
