Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1st Shift, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm


Pay Rate: $23 - $30 per hour

The MIG Welder candidate will play a crucial role in fitting and welding parts according to production drawings, shop travelers, and work instructions, utilizing MIG welders, fixtures, and basic welding tools to meet print specifications.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting appropriate welding machine parameters for the material being welded.
  • Ensuring welds meet print specifications, producing strong, smooth, non-porous, and consistent welds.
  • Following required procedures and using fixtures to aid in the assembly process.
  • Operating robotic weld cells as assigned.
  • Verifying finished parts conform to print specifications and quality standards.
  • Properly using and maintaining tools, fixtures, and machines.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience or vocational schooling in a related field.
  • Knowledge of welding processes and equipment.
  • Ability to weld vertically, flat, and overhead with good penetration and quality welds.
  • Proficiency in operating acetylene torches.
  • Strong math skills including the metric system and angles.
  • Ability to read tape measures, angle finders, blueprint drawings, and AWS symbols.
  • Experience operating a forklift and overhead cranes.
  • Capability to weld in awkward positions such as kneeling or lying down and work from a ladder.
