Your Opportunity: Taylor Promotional Products (a Taylor company) is seeking an experienced RPG Programmer to join their team in leading the programming and testing for customizations and enhancements on their primary transaction processing system. All work will be done in RPG III, RPG ILE, Freeform, and on the iSeries (AS/400) platform.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work as an integral part of a small project team.

  • Obtain application enhancement requests and requirements from the business. The applications are all related to supply chain, transportation management, and logistics business needs.

  • Code and program the application customizations and enhancements in RPG (RPG III, RPG IV, ILE, Free-Form RPGLE, etc.).

  • Integrate Stored Procedures and service-oriented architecture (SOA) / IBM XML Commands.

  • Collect and analyze data, suggesting improvements to interfaces that will automate or improve existing systems.

  • Plan and execute integration and acceptance testing.

  • Create system documentation and user training materials.

  • Work within an iSeries (or AS/400) environment.

You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma

  • 8+ years of programming experience

  • Excellent background in RPG Programming (RPG III, RPG IV, RPGILE)

  • Strong experience on the iSeries (or AS/400) platform

  • Strong technical and problem solving abilities

  • Strong analytical abilities

  • Knowledge of Change Management tools like Aldon

  • Adherence to coding standard and application standard

  • Proficient in SQL

  • Proficient written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in the analysis and documentation of software and system requirements and coordinate the development, implementation, and production of integrated technology systems

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Associate's Degree in related field

  • Experience with EDI and/or Promo Standards

  • Prior experience in the Promotional Products industry

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
