Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7)

Department/Organization: 600119 - Training

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Athletic Trainer II assists in the initial evaluation of injuries or illness sustained by an athlete. Identify injury/illness risk factors associated with participation in competitive sports. Provides health care information and counsel to athletes, parents, and coaches. May provide guidance and training to entry-level trainers.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree and three (3) years of athletic training experience. National Athletic Trainers Association certification. Current CPR and First Aid certification. State of Alabama Athletic Trainer's Association License or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Some NCAA Division I athletic training experience.

Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions..

Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge of NCAA Division I policies and procedures. Experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Creative thinking and problem solving skills.
