Job Summary |
The central Office of Information Technology at Auburn University is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our High-Performance Computing team! Auburn researchers use High Performance Computing to solve some of the world's most difficult and important problems. As a HPC Systems Engineer at Auburn, your programming, automation, and systems administration skills make a direct, positive impact on scientific discovery, and advance the Auburn mission, which is dedicated to improving quality of life across the world. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation and enhancement of our High-Performance Computing infrastructure, supporting diverse research projects and academic initiatives. You will collaborate with a team of accomplished researchers, educators, and administrators to provide a robust HPC environment. We're interested in hearing from all Linux\programming enthusiasts, regardless of experience or background. Minimum Qualifications | This position is advertised at two levels: Associate Systems Engineer (MA45) High school diploma and 8 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 0 years of experience. Typical starting salaries for this level is between $54,300 to $63,500 Systems Engineer (MA46) High school diploma and 11 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree and 7 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience. Typical starting salaries for this level is between $68,200 to $81,100 Relevant IT experience in the administration of distributed computer systems. |
