Overview

As the Procurement and Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for ordering goods and services for CIS. You will work closely with internal customers who issue purchase requests for Procurement services including consulting agreements, software and hardware requests, as well as others including matters related to contract and vendor management. You'll analyze costs, negotiate purchasing details, and offer solutions to help CIS better manage costs on supplies and vendor services. Additional duties include tracking orders, resolving issues concerning price disputes, and maintaining accurate records to generate analytics on the performance of our procurement function.

Salary Range: $59,200 - $89,600

What You'll Do
  • Work within Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) ecosystem to input, maintain, and execute contract actions
  • Review, redline, negotiate, and execute vendor contracts with a heavy focus on indirect services, especially consulting agreements
  • Develop, coordinate, formalize, and prepare contract documents with precision and accuracy
  • Drive communication with internal and external stakeholders to move purchase request to completion
  • Purchase materials, services, and supplies, including managing requests and continuously improving the procurement and request processes
  • Help identify and pursue opportunities to improve cost or contract terms for goods and services procured by the organization
  • Support and update internal customers on procurement requests and their timely completion
  • Follow purchasing service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records, actively facilitating the purchasing request workload and prioritizing accordingly
  • Adhere to procurement guidelines and organizational policies
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to identify practice improvement opportunities, log those opportunities, and aide in the efforts to drive those changes to completion
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field*
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in business, procurement, and contracting - including review and redlining contract agreements
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, understanding, redlining, negotiating, and contracting for indirect services
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and professional demeanor
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's a Plus if You Have:

  • Non-for-profit procurement experience and knowledge of Office of Management and Budget, Uniform Guidance is preferred
  • Project Management skills
  • Experience awarding and managing consulting agreements
  • Experience with Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate's degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
